CHRISTENSEN
The bottom concept features a spiral vee out the back, a little vee up the front for forgiveness and has a nice planing area in the midsection complemented with low rails.
“When I made the Wolverine, I took a 6’6” Nautilus, designed and added the wings; the Wolverine is a twin fin. If you want a thruster or a quad, take the Nautilus. The Wolverine was designed to be a twin fin, just a twin fin.” –Chris Christenson.
The tail features wings that, combined with Christenson’s vertical fin templates, you will feel that it holds nicely. It will hold when it is pumping and when it is not because it has a performance approach to it as well. Christenson’s low rails concept is similar to that of an airplane wing with a real low apex. The result? A lot of more speed to play with. The wings are part of the reason for the planning speed, bite and hold that the Wolverine provides.
It is also quite versatile and you could have fun with small good waves, waist-high waves and even use it as a step-up with double overhead surfing if you like. The Wolverine plays as a mid length, twin fin and step-up with bigger surf too.
The Wolverine, is also a great choice when you are too lazy to surf a shortboard but don’t want to ride a longboard. Maybe you are out of practice and you can use it to get your flow and feel back.
